Woodie News June 2022
As another school year comes to a close, thank you to all our families for your continued support in all that we do at Woodside. We wish you all a lovely summer with your families, and look forward to seeing everyone back on the 17th August for another exciting year.
Thank you to everyone that handed in their pre-loved uniforms this week. Our plan is to open our Assembly Hall on the afternoons of the In-service days in August (Monday 15th and Tuesday 16th) when families are welcome to pop in and pick up any school uniform items that are required. More details will follow nearer the time.
School times and breaks update:
The easing of Covid regulations allows our school day to return to 9am start and 3pm finish for everyone as well as one morning break time. Our numbers means trying to feed all our children in 45 minutes is a little bit tight so we will trial a rolling lunchtime.
Please note the following points:
SCHOOL LUNCHES: school meals and milk increased to £2.00 and 24p with effect from 19.04.22. We continue to monitor our ParentPay accounts so it is important that parents/carers regularly check their balance and it remains in credit. If you have a debit balance please make a payment to clear it. You can set up an alert advising you of a low balance to avoid a debit balance.
FREE SCHOOL LUNCHES: All children in P1-5 are eligible for a free school lunch however if you are in receipt of certain benefits it is important that you still register with SLC for their School clothing and free school meals grant.
SCHOOL TRANSPORT: If your child currently has a place on the school bus and you move address you must reapply to SLC for a place on the bus. Until they confirm your new place, your child cannot travel on the bus as they are not insured to do. School transport application.
